The evening sky is totally filled with stars.  Couple that with one of the three
bonfire areas, relaxing chairs and your family and friends and you are getting
close to paradise.  You can enjoy walking the trails and stop beside one of the
two ponds , marshy lake or rest areas and who knows what animals you may
see.  Burkhaven has been cut out of a literal forest of white pines, birch,
Burkhaven is only ¼ mile from the Big Lake boat launch and about 1 & ¼ mile
from the Church Pine boat launch.  Boats can be rented at Big Lake.  A canoe is
available for rent at Burkhaven.
